I've finally bitten the bullet and bought myself some Charlotte Tilbury goodies. I have a new counter in my local John Lewis store so I just had to try it out. I talked to a wonderful woman and she gave me a full look that she thought would be good for me as I struggle with finding the right foundation for my dry skin. I then attended a launch party for the John Lewis beauty hall, launching Charlotte Tilbury, Mac and Marc Jacobs. With 15% off and a redeemable £5 back from the ticket price I couldn't resist a few purchases.
My first purchase was
Charlotte's Magic Cream. this is her coveted secret formula. Her secret blend of ingredients, including BioNymph Peptide Complex, floral extracts and a hyaluronic acid booster to lift and add moisture.
Features:
• Unique ‘multi-tasking’ anti-age BioNymph Peptide Complex stimulates collagen production while fighting free radicals
• Features SPF15 & an anti-UVA filter to protect the skin from the sun’s ageing effects
• Sodium Hyaluronate forms a film of hyaluronic acid, while Wild Pansy extracts help renew over the skin to seal-in moisture
• Rosehip & camellia oils plus antioxidant vitamin E transform grey complexions into hydrated, mirror-shine skin
• Ideal canvas to apply makeup
• Paraben-free
I bought the magic cream after much research and bordering running out of my previous ESPA ProMoisture moisturiser. I decided that due to having the SPF added in and being so good under makeup I just had to upgrade. It has such a silky texture and absorbs so well into my skin.
My second purchase was the
Colour Chameleon Eyeshadow Pencil in Bronze Garnet. I've been using the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 hour eyeshadow in On and On Bronze. However I did fall in love with Charlotte's Bronze Garnet pencil. The colour payoff of this product is just phenomenal I had tried this a few times on my hand and even with washing it multiple times and rubbing it didn't budge, this was when I knew I had to get this product. Infused with Synthetic Sapphire, a mineral gemstone with natural soft-focus powers, for a smooth, perfect finish. This shade was suggested for green eyes but I have very multi-coloured eyes so I think even if you have hazel eyes it would look beautiful.
Overall, if you have the budget I would thoroughly recommend these products. Products like skincare I really think are worth splashing out on. Magic cream comes in at £70 and the pencil comes in at £19. I would recommend looking around as I got a very good offer with John Lewis. Often if there is a few products you want they may be available in sets as well especially coming up to Christmas!
